Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: September 2026
1. INTRODUCTION & ACCEPTANCE
Welcome to TABULA. ("we", "our", or "us"). By placing an order, accessing our website (www.tabulahk.com), or engaging our catering and food services, you ("Client", "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming any transaction.
2. BOOKING & LEAD TIMES
Orders must be booked at least 14 days in advance. For peak seasons (such as Easter, Christmas, and New Year) or large
gatherings exceeding 20 dishes / 80 guests, bookings should be made 1 to 2 months in advance to secure availability.
3. PRICING, PAYMENTS & MINIMUM SPEND
• Minimum Order Value: We maintain a minimum order requirement of HK$1,500 per order to uphold our standards of
preparation and service.
• Payment Terms: We accept bank transfers, major credit cards, and electronic payment methods. Full payment is required upfront to confirm and secure your order.
• Pricing & Calculation Errors: In the rare event of a system bug, technical error, or miscalculation resulting in an incorrect order total, TABULA. reserves the right to cancel and forfeit the affected order. TABULA. retains final decision-making authority in all pricing, billing, and order matters.
4. DELIVERY COVERAGE, FEES & LOGISTICS
• Coverage Area: We deliver to most areas across Hong Kong, excluding Outlying Islands.
• Delivery Fees: Delivery is free for orders over HK$3,000. A flat fee of HK$300 applies to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories for orders meeting the minimum requirement.
• Ground-to-Ground & Elevator Accessibility: Our delivery service operates strictly on a "ground-to-ground" or elevator- accessible basis. If the delivery location involves walking up stairs, couriers are unable to carry items upstairs; in such cases, the recipient must meet the driver at ground level to collect the order.
• Delivery Hours: Deliveries are available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Sunday. Preferred delivery hours must be specified in the "Order Note" section at checkout.
5. ORDER CONFIRMATION & COMMUNICATION
We will reach out via WhatsApp 1 to 2 working days after your order is placed to confirm your delivery time slot, dishes, and food restrictions. Clients must provide a valid, WhatsApp-enabled phone number and monitor messages to ensure a seamless delivery process.
6. CANCELLATIONS, MODIFICATIONS & LOCATION CHANGES
• No-Refund & No-Return Policy: All orders operate under a strict no-refund and no-return policy. Once payment is made and your order is confirmed, cancellations and refunds are not permitted under any circumstances. In the rare event that a refund is issued under any circumstances, a 5% bank and administrative fee will be deducted from the total refund amount to cover processing costs.
• Order Modifications: Changes must be submitted at least 13 days before delivery. While you are welcome to add items (subject to availability), order totals cannot be reduced due to our non-refundable policy and minimum spend requirement. Your final invoice will reflect any approved additions.
• Delivery Location Changes: Location change requests are subject to accessibility and prior approval. Please contact us via WhatsApp or email as early as possible.
7. EXTREME WEATHER & SAFETY
For safety reasons, our kitchen and courier services suspend operations during Black Rainstorm or Typhoon No. 8 (or higher) signals. If a severe weather warning is issued while an order is already out for delivery, our team will coordinate a safe drop-off location or delivery delay directly with you. In the event of such weather conditions, we will contact you via WhatsApp to assist in rescheduling or arranging an alternative delivery time.
8. MISSED DELIVERIES
If the client is unavailable during the confirmed time slot and cannot be reached via the provided contact details, the order will be forfeited without entitlement to a refund or redelivery.
9. PRODUCT CARE, FOOD SAFETY & LIABILITY
Our made-to-order dishes utilize fresh, heat-sensitive ingredients. While thermal bags and insulated boxes (keeping hot items warm for 2 to 3 hours and cold items chilled) are provided for transit, product care, food safety, and temperature maintenance become the sole responsibility of the client once handed over. To ensure optimal quality and safety, all perishable food items are recommended to be consumed within a 2-hour window from delivery. Clients must travel directly to their destination and refrigerate items promptly. TABULA. disclaims all liability for food-borne illness, spoilage, or quality degradation resulting from improper post-delivery storage, delayed consumption, or mishandling.
10. DIETARY RESTRICTIONS & FOOD ALLERGIES
We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and common dietary requirements when specified in the order comment box. While we exercise utmost care, our kitchen handles various ingredients, and cross-contamination cannot be entirely ruled out.
11. CUTLERY & TABLEWARE
Complimentary disposable napkins, tongs, plates, and cutlery kits are included proportionally based on your order size. Additional sets or pieces may be purchased separately under the Tableware section on our website.
12. INCORRECT ORDERS & QUALITY ISSUES
Clients must notify TABULA. within 30 minutes of delivery or pick-up to receive a prompt refund or replacement for incorrect, incomplete, or flawed items.
13. VENUE ACCESS & CLIENT PROPERTY
Clients are responsible for ensuring safe, clear, and legal access to the delivery venue (including parking, loading areas, and elevator permissions). TABULA. accepts no liability for delays or complications caused by restricted venue access, and the client assumes full responsibility for any damage caused to third-party venues or equipment during drop-off if handled by unauthorized personnel.
14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
All content, branding, logos ("TABULA."), menu designs, graphic layouts, photographs, and text featured on www.tabulahk.com and associated marketing channels are the exclusive property of TABULA. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
15. PHOTO & MEDIA RIGHTS
TABULA. reserves the right to take photographs of food setups, platters, and arrangements prepared for orders prior to delivery for promotional, portfolio, and social media use. Clients may photograph their ordered dishes for personal use, but commercial usage requires prior written consent.
16. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE & CATERER CANCELLATIONS
TABULA. reserves the right to refuse service, cancel, or terminate any order at our sole discretion due to unforeseen kitchen capacity constraints, critical staff shortages, safety hazards, or operational impossibilities, issuing a prompt full refund as the complete resolution.
17. INDEMNIFICATION
The client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TABULA., its owners, chefs, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the client's or guests' breach of these terms, consumption outside safety guidelines, or failure to fully disclose food allergies.
18. ALCOHOL & BEVERAGE POLICY
If alcoholic beverages are supplied or consumed in connection with an event utilizing TABULA. services, the client assumes full legal and financial responsibility for ensuring that all consumers are of legal drinking age in HKSAR and that necessary licenses are obtained.
19. WASTE MANAGEMENT & VENUE CLEANUP
Standard delivery services do not include on-site waste disposal, clearing of tables, dishwashing, or post-event venue cleanup unless an explicitly contracted staffed-service package is booked. Clients are entirely responsible for post-event cleaning and waste management.
20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE
TABULA. shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, government restrictions, lockdowns, civil unrest, war, strikes, electrical outages, widespread utility failures, critical supply chain crises, or severe disruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to any client for any claim arising out of or relating to an order shall under no circumstances exceed the total amount paid by the client for that specific order.
21. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Any disputes arising herefrom shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
